HNC-Indonesia’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially announced the final results of its 2024 recruitment for government contract employees under the PPPK (Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja) program, designating 17,154 successful candidates out of over 21,000 applicants from non-civil servant backgrounds.

The selection, conducted under the 2024 state budget allocation, focused on two categories: technical support staff and healthcare workers. “Of the 21,658 applicants reviewed, 17,154 candidates passed the final stage of the selection process — 17,009 from the technical track and 145 from the healthcare track,” said Kamaruddin Amin, Secretary-General of the Ministry and Chairman of the Selection Committee, during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.

Candidates who passed the selection are now required to complete the next step: uploading official documents via their individual accounts on the National Civil Service Agency’s online portal, https://sscasn.bkn.go.id, between July 1 and July 31, 2025.

Amin emphasized the transparency and merit-based nature of the selection process. “There were no fees involved. Passing the selection is solely the result of each candidate’s own merit. Any party claiming to guarantee success in exchange for payment is committing fraud,” he warned.

Wawan Djunaedi, Head of the Human Resources Bureau at the Ministry, outlined the documentation required for verification. These include a recent formal photo with a red background, original diploma and academic transcript, printed DRH (personal history form), and several official statements signed and stamped according to Indonesian administrative procedures.

Additional documents include:

  • A police clearance certificate (SKCK),
  • Medical and psychological fitness letters issued by a government doctor or health facility,
  • A drug-free certificate issued by an authorized institution or government health agency.

“All documents must be submitted within the deadline. Failure to do so will result in disqualification or be treated as voluntary withdrawal,” Djunaedi stated.

Should a selected candidate choose to withdraw, they are obliged to upload a formal resignation letter, duly signed and stamped, allowing the ministry to appoint the next eligible candidate based on ranking and position availability.

Further, Djunaedi confirmed that any candidate who withdraws after receiving their PPPK appointment number will be banned from applying for any civil service or government contract positions for the next two years.

The Ministry has also underscored the legal consequences of submitting falsified or inaccurate documents. “Any candidate found to have violated the requirements — during registration, verification, or post-appointment — may have their results annulled and employment status revoked,” Djunaedi concluded.

The PPPK recruitment program is part of the Indonesian government’s wider effort to reform and professionalize its public workforce, particularly by integrating long-serving non-ASN (non-civil servant) personnel into the formal bureaucracy. The final list of successful applicants has been made publicly accessible, and candidates are urged to carefully follow each step of the verification process to secure their appointment.[]
